I thought you were mad about people stopping you setting records, that's what your first post implies. If you're in first and some guy in in 2nd and he KDs you that could easily screw up your record.

Plus if ramming someone at the start puts them out of the running, then that's one less person to compete against in the rest of the race. So it benefit you (and everyone else) to KD someone off the start.

People who ram at the start disadvantage themselves (which is just stupid) and even if I'd need every crate to be srb to get a record from losing initial momentum, "rrpm".

Not that any of these people are intelligent enough to time my SRB and knock me down, but if I'm at the end of the beach and someone who is just making it to the previous checkpoint lightnings me, its going to interfere with my record.

If I'm 10 feet in front of someone and they KD me for lead, I'm not getting the record anyway.

*deep breath*

I was tired, sorry. People get rid of their KD's like they're a bomb about to go off. Its frustrating.

I still love when people blame the top scores on exploits or cheating. I really do. It's not hard to get 480+.. It's really not. Unfortunately, I forgot about CNY this week so I've only had today to play. Within the first hour I had a 481.

Stop blaming these non-existent cheaters for your lack of skill/determination.

if that is true, then that means nothing but that you are very very lucky. There is no skill or 'stop whining and get good pls'. Its just luck, not getting KD'd and getting combo.

There is no super secret technique or awesome strategies the top 100 use. They just do the racing a lot, and eventually get no kd + combo. A lot of the Top 100 are just genuine players who spent some time and got on the list. A lot are syncers/botters who made up for luck with 24/7 rollerbeetling.

That's just relying on luck , that's all. What was very curious in fact is about people who got 6-7 times 482+ in a few hours( scores which require perfect start and echo+super before 1st water) . Personnaly , i didn't get once super + echo before it, upon about 20 hours of play. In fact , idiscussed with some players , and many noticed the same thing than me :
- By having a terrible start ( i.e rams and stuff ) we almost always get super ( sometimes super + echo ) before big water .
- By having very good begin , we never ever get any super whole race.

I got it four five six times after being rammed. Bad luck, I guess. I'm not going to sleep until I get it though.

Actually just happened again...
and again... 2 matches in a row
and an eighth time but it was a random stones instead of ram...
rammed twice and got echo srb again.

Didn't get my zippy because of the people competing over 7 lunar tokens and a negligible amount of skillz points. lol.

I was ina race was making pretty good time w/o srb but at the end i went 4 boxes in a row w/o 1 power-up. I had the copy i was saving from the water after the bridge(by the cattle). But once i got to the box at the bottom of the big hill i just didnt get anything, no distract no nothing! Is it possible all 4 boxes were copy activations? also i've noticed when i copy dash shouldn't it reactivate once i pass a checkpoint i mean it is one of the base skills???

Yes, that happens. I had 4 copies of Distracting Lunge and I just stopped playing.

There is a glitch with the list in International Districts. The list seems broken (it looks like it's been frozen a couple of hours after the start of the event).

Whatever there are plenty of people on there who are not on the "proper" list but they can talk to the reward giver and get a miniature nonetheless.

If you can verify somehow that people on the outdated lists are getting presents, that would really help in making this problem more aware to the Live team.

I tried it just now and was unable to do it myself.

That's because you have a valid time on that account and already collected. I also tested this and found the same thing.

It has been confirmed to work for accounts that did not post a legit top 100 time, however. It looks like the system tests against the in-district list to pay off, then flags the account upon collection.

The only inevitable proof thereof would be a screenshot of someone present on said list talking to the reward giver and JUST receiving a miniature. I can't provide that since I'm on the actual list which excludes me from getting another one.

Really all we have at the moment are people who say "I'm only on this frozen list and I got one".
I don't think it's that big a deal and I don't massively care whether they fix it or not.

The ersatz pets are already loose in the system. I'll bet many have been resold. Even if they have traceable unique IDs, it isn't reasonable to punish the buyers of ersatz pets by deleting them. It's not like the victims of such a sale would have a good reason to suspect something was wrong.

Not much short of a server rollback will do the problem justice, which is unlikely. Closing the loophole sooner rather than later would prevent it from getting worse.

I made the loophole apparent to the Krewe yesterday when HB pointed it out, with the danger that extra beetles may be given out.

Someone was kind enough to present me with screenshots of this happening, and I've sent PMs out to the Live team to make sure they don't miss it.

appears to be fixed? I just checked all the top 100 lists in all the different districts (euro, american, asia, international) and they're all the same?

Good to hear, although I don't think we can call this "fixed" by any reasonable definition just yet.

The market for these pets has more or less collapsed due to uncertainty. Buyers can't know whether ANet intends to delete the ersatz pets, or distinguish them from "real" ones; sellers of valid pets cannot demonstrate that their merchandise is legitimate. (The top scores list is indicative, but not conclusive, and it's no help once a pet changes hands for the first time.)

Some official word about what will happen would go a long way towards curing that. I realize that this only affects a few hundred players, but a small action on ANet's part could have large positive consequences for those players.

I don't think they care enough about 50 or so extra minis in the game.
What if they delete them? - a bunch of 'innocent' people would be punished too; people that bought them for example.
What if they perma banned everyone that got a mini that shouldn't have? - That's pretty harsh, considering they were actually on the ladder, just not the right one. They might not even have realised they were doing something wrong.
What if they tracked down every single mini (50 +/- cases) and took appropriate action (be it a ban, deletion etc)? - That would actually require putting effort/manpower into it; not gonna happen.

No, I bet they will just leave it the way it is and the people that got a mini that shouldn't have just got lucky.

rb racing is as pointless as players that don't do steroids in MLB. so glad i am taking a break from gw and not going through all the headaches of the cheating community.

Lol, is it really that big of a RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing deal?

Its not like RB is essential to the guildwars deal.

It really doesnt make a difference if you dont get top 100. Sure you get a mini but who cares. I do it just for the fun of it and getting 1st place. I dont care about a top 100 time. Cheaters will be present in every game. It happens
